Fremont City Code on Front yard Vegetable Garden?

I'm trying to set up a front yard raised bed garden since our backyard land is mostly occupied by a swimming pool, but I've heard horror stories about people getting sued doing this. I haven't seen any front yard edible gardens around my area. Does anyone know what does the city code says?

I live in Centreville, Cabrillo area and grew tomatoes, green peppers, swiss chard, carrots and other things in my front planter. No one complained or stoled vegtables.
Shouldn't be any problem unless your in a  gated community.
I have vegetables in the front yard. There are no rules against this from the city, but it's always better to make sure that you don't upset your neighbors. Keep it pretty..mixing vegetables with flowers and everyone will be happy. Also...share! That makes friends very quickly. Good luck..:)
