Lets Think Big!

Just a thought..... Has anyone thought about contacting major corporations such as Orchard Supply Hardware and Home Depot for donations?  They are typically allotted a budget for donations that they can use for write offs.

We may potentially be able to get organic plant food such as fish emulsion, soil, drip systems and who knows... much more.

It may be that someone has thought of this and I haven't read through all the articles and posting's just yet. 

Any thoughts on this?

Depends on whether the garden is supposed to be organic, which I thought it was. If you go using Miracle Gro, that stuff ain't organic. But other items might work.

Fish emulsion is organic but it is very stinky. It is very beneficial to lawns and gardens.

I concur with Dwight. Miracle Grow is not what we want.
But I do think that soliciting donations from the big guys who can afford it could prove worthwhile. We just have to be selctive in what we are asking for and what they expect of us. Free isn't always free, and free isn't always good.
