I think they have multiplied this summer and there at least 5-6 more. We may should consider poisoning them at least on the field where nothing is growing and on the parking lot too.

I am glad you all are getting vegetables! Yum!
This household is working hard on the Patterson Ranch issues and the new EIR put out by the City of Fremont. The comments are due in early August. This is the largest piece of agricultural land left in the City of Fremont and it is important what happens to it, though I could not get much interest about it from LEAF.
We are also working hard on the former Whistling Wings and Pintail Duck Club development proposal that the City of Newark is pushing for. The vote by Newark City Council is tonight.
I do not know why so many have decided to destroy the Earth. I do not understand why those that do, do not think they will also be part of the destruction.
For us the solution is both political and educational. I tried to inform LEAF the best I could. When my posts started being 'unfeatured' and put lower in the queue, I decided that was enough for me. My energies have to go elsewhere to somehow get results as to our plight ecologically and agriculturally.
I miss you all and wish you the best of luck with all.
Say hello to Beatrice. She is striving for social justice and food justice and her involvement with People's Grocery is admirable.
I urge you all that are doers for LEAF and not on the Board to speak up for yourselves and insist on having a voice. The power trips and manipulative games really have no place in an organization that has such a great stated cause.
