Just a thought..... Has anyone thought about contacting major corporations such as Orchard Supply Hardware and Home Depot for donations? They are typically allotted a budget for donations that they can use for write offs.We may potentially be able to get organic plant food such as fish emulsion, soil, drip systems and who knows... much more.It may be that someone has thought of this and I haven't read through all the articles and posting's just yet. Any thoughts on this?LauraSee More

- I want to save our local nursery. And I believe that we need a local community garden here in Niles. Times are tough for a lot of people and even though we have local help for those of us in need from a food bank. It shouldn't mean that we have to sacrifice our health. We need fresh vegetables and fruits more readily available to us.

Thanks for the heads up about a bookkeeper. The post did not have a date - - the position might be filled already. I went ahead and sent an email expressing my interest and also included a resume. Not sure if I told you this before but I have prior experience with a non-profit organization that included handling the accounting for a $500,000 grant from the California Energy Commission.
